Lash Educator Leeanna Ramphal

What inspired you to become an educator?

What inspired me to become an educator is my 6 years of experience in the business. Lashing has tremendously changed my life for the better. I've gained financial security, perfected a skill I can do anywhere in the world, meet amazing people every day and I can share that with the new generation of lash artists. My transition from lash artist to educator came about earlier this year 2023 as I'm ready to embark on a new chapter/journey of my lash career.

Tell us about your academy.

My training academy is fully accredited by NALA. I offer private and small 1on1 training. I'm located in Toronto, Ontario. I've been a trainer since 2019. I specialize in Classic, Lash Lift/Tint and Brow Lamination Training. I'm currently an Academy Partner with The Lash Shop in their Instant Lash Lift Tint program where a comprehensive training program was designed by them for students to learn the fail proof method of this lash treatment!

What do you find most rewarding about being an educator?

The most rewarding part about being an educator is having the abilities, tools and knowledge to pass onto my students so that they can be successful Lash Artists. I love seeing them excel!

What obstacles did you have to overcome on your journey to become an educator?

One of my biggest obstacles I had to overcome as an educator was creating my program. NALA has guided and provided my academy with a comprehensive and current training program I use to train my students all the current practices and policies in the lash industry.

Why did you enroll in NALA School for Lash Trainers?

I enrolled in NALA because I wanted to offer Accredited training to my students where they are able to learn confidently and be equipped with the right tools for their future careers. NALA holds the highest accolades in the lash industry. I want to be taken seriously and seen as a professional in my field.

Why did you enroll in NALA School For Lash Trainers?

Investing in this program has been definitely worth it. Although it was a process. I've learned many valuable things about myself, become a trainer, and attracted my ideal student. Marketing my business and so much more.

Tell us about your upcoming plans?

My goal for 2024 is to make a bigger impact on the lashing industry. My goal is to transition from lash artist to full time educator.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

To the future lash artists that are going through imposter syndrome anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself and stay consistent. I started in this industry with zero experience and was able to build myself up with passion, hard work and consistency!
